Liverpool football club is likely to enhance the invincibility of its attacking force by signing German national team and RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

But this enhancement can not take place if the Premier League table-topper fails to activate Timo Werner’s £52m release clause.

Besides that, the 24-year-old prolific striker may not want to leave RB Leipzig that is still doing well in the Champions League and which treats him like an idol, for a club that is yet to guarantee his playing time.

Hence, if his countryman and the coach of Liverpool Jurgen Klopp can convince the footballer of having a regular playing time at Liverpool next season, the player can be tempted to sign.

But such a promise could mean that one of Liverpool‘s attacking trio of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino would be sacrificed which is looking almost impossible except one of the players move to another club or is injured.

Timo Werner Might be Destined to move to Liverpool

Notwithstanding, the odd of Timo Werner moving to Liverpool is high since the German has been quoted in several occasions describing his countryman Jurgen Klopp as one of the best coaches in the world. He was also quoted as saying that he loves to play for Liverpool.

Besides that, there have been strong speculations that Sadio Mane might move to Real Madrid during the summer transfer window. If Mane’s deal scale through, Liverpool would have no choice than to comfortably promise Timo Werner a regular playing time and also trigger his £52 million release clause.

However, Liverpool is not the only top European club that is after the signature of the 24-year-old striker. Since last season, Bundesliga side Bayern Munich have been trying to secure the striker’s signature.

Whether Timo Werner will remain at
RB Leipzig until his contract with the club elapse in 2023, move to Liverpool or join Bayern Munich is just a matter of time. It is indeed an interesting deal to watch out for if the transfer window reopens.

The 24-year-old has been in stunning form in the interrupted 2029-2020 football season with 20 goals in just 18 appearances in the German Bundesliga.
