    Manchester United recently released their provisional squad numbers list for the 2023/24 season and Greenwood didn’t make the cut.

    Mason Greenwood has been suspended by the Red Devils since January 2022 and has not featured in any encounter for the club since then.

    The 21-year-old last played for the Old Trafford club in a 1-0 win for Manchester United over West Ham United in January 2022.

    Greenwood was afterward charged with sexual assault and coercive behavior, before he was acquitted of those charges in February 2023.

    However, it has been reported that Manchester United would decide the attacker’s future in the next few days, presumably before the start of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

    Mason Greenwood is faced with a lot of possibilities regarding his future as he could have his contract terminated by the 3-time Champions League winners.

    He also faces the possibility of returning to the first team, the one-cap England international could also be sent on loan or outrightly sold by Manchester United.

    Recently, several pictures have circulated regarding Mason Greenwood training and preparing to get back into competitive action.

    The Englishman was seen with his dad and coach, Andrew Greenwood, and his father was also seen cradling the youngster’s baby.

    Andrew Greenwood was pictured giving instructions to his son, as Mason Greenwood tries to perfect his shooting.

    Some fans believe the youngster has already decided on his future in the round leather game.

    There are reports online regarding fans feeling he might make a move to the Jamaican national team after he was seen wearing the kit.

    Some Manchester United supporters also persistently show optimism regarding the future of Mason Greenwood as they believe the club will reintegrate him into the squad.

    Concerning sponsors, their stance is unknown, although there have been contrasting reports from Adidas on Greenwood’s future.

    Before his suspension, Mason Greenwood had made 129 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 35 goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions.

    The 21-year-old graduated from the academy of the 20-time English first division champions and he was outstanding before his suspension.

    Greenwood’s contract with the Red Devils will expire in June 2025, having signed a four-year contract extension in February 2021, with the option of a further year.

    Mason Greenwood made his debut at the age of 17 in March 2019, in a 3-1 win for Manchester United against Paris Saint Germain.
