Fred is set to become a new member of the Turkish club side Fenerbache after the club reached an agreement with Manchester United.

The Turkish outfit have safeguarded a verbal agreement with the Red Devils for the service of the 30-year-old Brazilian midfielder.

According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Fenerbache have sealed the deal as both parties agreed to a considerable amount.

The Italian journalists added that Manchester United have accepted 10 million euros plus 5 million euros in add-ons and Fred has said yes to the move.

    What happened to Fred?

The 30-year-old Brazilian International midfielder has been informed that he’s uncertain to play an important role under Man United manager Erik ten Hag’s squad this season.

Over the past few years, the Brazilian has been an important player for the Red Devils. Before Erik ten Hag from Ajax Amsterdam arrived at the club, his connection with Scott McTominay was well-known.

However, the former Internacional player has been strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford during this ongoing transfer window.

Other teams that have shown interest in the player include Fulham of the Premier League and Fenerbahce’s rivals in Istanbul, Galatasaray.

Last month, a proposal from Galatasaray was rejected for the Brazil international, and many Saudi Arabian teams also showed interest in his services.

Although the midfielder still has a contract with Manchester United that will run through the summer of 2024, the club have decided to let go of Fred to avoid losing him for free next summer.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder is well-liked in the United locker room, but he has rarely appeared to live up to the promise that led the Red Devils to pay £47 million to acquire him in 2018.

Fred joined Manchester United in the summer of 2018, since then, he has appeared in 213 different games and contributed to 33 different goals.

His playing time has decreased over the past few seasons, but he has still been a vital member of their first squad.

The 30-year-old participated in 56 games last season under Erik ten Hag and helped create 12 goals.

The Brazil international played nearly 2300 minutes despite appearing as a substitute in most of those games. Fred doesn’t have a future at the club under the Dutch boss despite routinely performing well.

The 30-year-old Brazilian’s future has been up in the air all summer, and the Turkish team has been considering hiring him for some time.

Finally, an agreement has been struck between the two clubs, and the Brazilian international is now prepared to move shortly.

On the other hand, Ten Hag has already added Mason Mount to his midfield and is interested in doing the same with Sofyan Amrabat.

Ten Hag is trying to raise money by selling a couple of their players after spending a lot of money on new acquisitions.

Fred is prepared to join the Turkish club, while Harry Maguire is almost certain to join West Ham.

United are also trying to find Scott McTominay a new club. Their departure will assist the club in completing the purchase of Amrabat, who is crucial to the future ambitions of the former Ajax boss.

Fred to Fenerbahce is currently nearing completion. With add-ons, the Turkish club had offered a deal for €15 million. Both clubs were in negotiations, and now a deal has been made.

They have a verbal agreement even if they haven’t yet put it in writing. The player is prepared to fly for his medical appointment after reaching a personal agreement will follow.

In addition, the Red Devils will remain positive to add new signings to their squad as they’ll focus on the 2023/2024 English Premier League season when they kick off their campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, 14th of August, 2023.
