    It looks like there is a ray of hope regarding the return of Mason Greenwood to Manchester United.

    Reports are indicating that the forward’s teammates would support his return to the squad.

    Greenwood last played for the Old Trafford club on January 22, 2022, in a 1-0 victory for the Red Devils over West Ham United.

    Since then, he has battled allegations of sexual assault before he was acquitted of those charges in February 2023.

    However, The Sun are reporting that his teammates are ready to welcome him back into their fold.

    A top source from the English tabloid said: “All the players believe he deserves a second chance because he’s innocent in the eyes of the law.”

    The source expresses that his teammates feel that he hasn’t been left in limbo as he didn’t get the chance to prove his Innocence.

    He said: “He didn’t have the opportunity to clear his name in court because the charges were dropped, so the players feel like he has been left in limbo.”

    The Sun Source also revealed that Greenwood has received backing from his teammates as they also graduated alongside him to the senior team.

    The senior source shared that his teammates know that he has made mistakes but they believe he has changed for the better.

    He said: “They know he’s made mistakes but the lads who’ve spoken to him say he’s grown up a lot in the past 18 months and will come back a lot wiser.”

    Meanwhile, reports have circulated that the future of Mason Greenwood at Manchester United is expected to be revealed before the start of the 2022/23 season.

    There are several possibilities on the cards, with the Red Devils being able to terminate Greenwood’s contract or bring him back into the squad.

    There is also the option of selling or loaning him to a club looking to acquire the services of the Englishman.
