Crystal Palace is one of the mid-table Premier League clubs that can give any top-four clubs a run for their money at any given time. The Eagles, as they are fondly called, had a relatively fair 2019-2020 Premier League season.
Out of 38 Premier League matches, the Selhurst based club won 11, lost 17, and drew 10 which were enough for the club to finish 14th on the league table. Though the South London club did not finish where they were expected to finish the season, it was a big relief that they were able to survive the drop.
So, this season, the club’s manager, Roy Hodgson, his doing everything possible to ensure that Crystal Palace’s fans don’t have any reason to panic. With such a mindset, the club has been able to start the 2020-2021 season in flying colors.
Roy Hodgson and his boys opened their 2020-2021 Premier League campaign on September 12 against Southampton and they defeated their visitors 1-0. On September 19, they paid a visit to Old Trafford to play against Manchester United. To the dismay of Red Devils’ fans, Crystal Palace ran away with a 1-3 victory.
However, on September 26, Roy Hodgson and his boys faced the bitter side of the new season when they hosted Everton at Selhurst. Their visitors stunned them 1-2 to make it one loss out of three Premier League matches.
