Maria Zulay Salaues is a graduate of Business Administration at the University of Bolivia; she has been an active model in her home country Bolivia and in the United States of America since 2017.
Though she was born in a rich family in 1994 and she has ventured into professional modelling months before she met Manchester United‘s midfielder, Paul Pogba, Maria Zulay Salaues was not popular until she started dating the footballer.
Her fame as Pogba‘s girlfriend jumped to the highest level during the FIFA World Cup in Russia where she was spotted cheering France on the stands besides Pogba‘s mother, Yeo Pogba. A diamond ring was also spotted on her finger which suggested that she and the Manchester United star are engaged.
Though Zulay still maintains her resident in Miami, United State, she spent most of her time around her lover in Manchester. Her stay with Pogba became more consistent when she gave birth to their first child together, Labile Shakur, in January 2019.
Though Pogba has proven to be a very opened celebrity, it took the world months to know that the union between the 26-year-old footballer and Zulay has produced a son. In fact, the world got to know through a Manchester United‘s legend Bryan Robson.
The social media post that first described Pogba as a father was from Robson which read: “When I saw Paul last week in Dubai with the United squad, I had a little chat and congratulated him on the birth of his baby. He just seemed so relaxed and easy with things.”
Afterwards, the lovers had no choice than to take to their separate social media handles to let the world know that they are now parents.
Since the world didn’t know the exact date their son was born, it is very much possible that the child came to the world on 5th of January 2019 because the two lovebirds threw a lavish first birthday party for the boy on the said date.
The world has also not been able to confirm whether Pogba and Maria Zulay are now officially husband and wife. In 2019, Pogba was spotted with what looks like a wedding ring while at United end of the season party and awards night.
Later that year, Zulay deactivated her Instagram account only to reactivate it with the name “Maria Zulay Pogba Salaues” which could imply that they are more than just boyfriend and girlfriend. Also, she posted a picture of both of them in Paris via her Instagram account. She captioned it with “Till the end.”
Just like the birth of their child and whether Pogba is staying at United this summer or not, they have continued to keep the world guessing about their relationship status.
