Manchester United‘s Loanee Odion Ighalo is very impressed with his teammates Bruno Fernandes and Anthony Martial who he had the opportunity to talk about on United’s online hangout.
Ighalo and Fernandes joined Manchester United in January and they have been very impressive since they had the opportunity to feature for the Red Devils.
Fernandes is even more impressive to Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he has quickly established himself as an important member of the club. Within 5 matches, the Portuguese midfielder has scored 2 goals and made 3 assists to wow everyone at Old Trafford.
Ighalo says Fernandes has not settled at Manchester United
Ighalo is also wowed by the huge impact the Manchester United midfielder has made so far. The Nigerian is impressed with Fernandes’ intelligence and foresight.
The 31-year-old striker said despite how Fernandes has already wowed everyone, he is yet to get to his best because he has not really settled down at the club.
“He [Fernandes] is intelligent, he has foresight, he has a vision. He sees what he wants to do with the ball before it comes to him”, the Manchester United loanee said.
“You can see the understanding between him and [Anthony] Martial, you can see the understanding between me and him, so he’s a very good player – and he’s not even settled down yet.
“He comes from a very different place to the Premier League. When that guy has settled down, he’s going to take the Premier League by storm.”
Ighalo says Anthony Martial is fighting a lot
On Anthony Martial, Ighalo said the Frenchman is more skilful during training than on matchdays because it is always difficult for players to do what they do during training in live matches.
The Nigerian footballer said the game of the 24-year-old Manchester United star has greatly improved since he [Ighalo] joined the club from Chinese Shanghai Shenhua on a loan deal.
“Anthony, since I came, he’s been scoring goals and doing so well, fighting a lot. He is a great player, he has great technique”, Ighalo said.
“He can do anything with the ball and he’s been doing fantastically well. I just hope he keeps going and scoring more goals and we end the season very well.”
