Manchester United loanee striker, Odion Ighalo seems to be among the few Manchester United person that still believes in the influence of French midfielder Paul Pogba on the team. He explained that the presence of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes in the Manchester United midfield can restore the lost glory of the team.

Recall that quite a number of United supporters begged the English club to include the name of the French man on the players to be transferred in summer after he posted a video of himself in Juventus jersey earlier last month.

The presence of Bruno Fernandes in the team’s midfield has brought a lot of changes to the team. Paul Pogba’s injury left Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side with no choice than seek the service of another midfielder to take the place of the injured Frenchman. Funnily, since the Portuguese man Red Devils, Paul Pogba has made the headlines for a couple of bad reasons.

Just about the time, all the fans and critics had moved on, Manchester United loanee striker Odion Ighalo decided to remind them that the 2018 World Cup winner is doing all he can to get fit again after the injury he sustained before the coronavirus outbreak. Ighalo’s comment on Paul Pogba suggests that the Nigerian man still believes in the impact of the French man on the Manchester United midfield and the team at large.

Quoting his words, he said: “He is working hard to get back to fitness and imagine when we have Pogba and Bruno in the midfield, then you will see a different team – [Marcus] Rashford coming back also,

“Manchester United is going to be great again, winning games week in, week out. He’s a great player and it’s going to be a privilege to play with him.”

Odion Ighalo is campaigning for the Paul Pogba continuous in Old Trafford despite heavy criticism that he should be off-loaded, whereas his own future in the team hangs on the cloud of uncertainty. Manchester United has not offered any new contract yet and there is no certainty that they will not now that football activities have been suspended due to the outbreak of the novel Covid-19.

Ighalo is the first Nigerian to play for Manchester United, he is at Old Trafford on a 6-month loan and his loan spell will expire on May 31, 2020. He scored 4 times in all competition within a short period of playtime and he was remarkable against LASK in the Europa game. The Nigerian player, Ighalo is hopeful that he will see Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba play together and he wants Manchester United fans to brace for beautiful football when that does happen. Also, he is looking to extend his contract with Manchester United.
