Arsenal FC boss, Mikel Arteta has been reported to have shown interest in Barcelona 22-year-old winger Ousmane Dembele who is regarded as a flop since he joined the team in 2017. The French winger set a record when he signed a contract worth about £130 million with Barcelona in 2017.

Since he came into the Spanish club, he has not really impressed considering the huge sum of money that Barcelona paid to buy the World Cup winner from his former club Borussia Dortmund. Morse, the winger has suffered the tenth long term injury since he joined Barcelona in 2017. Consistent long injury has spell doom on his statistics in the Spanish team which made him tagged a flop.

Meanwhile, there have been reports that Barcelona is ready to cut their losses on the Frenchman buy selling away when the transfer window opens in summer. Reports also revealed that Liverpool Fc and Arsenal have both showed interesting in buying the winger. Arsenal poses to be more interested in landing the 22-year-old winger into the club.

However, it has been reported that Arsenal might be discouraged by the worth of the player which estimated to around £70 million. Reports also revealed that the player is willing to land a contract in the English club which will allow him to play in Premier League in the next season.

Expectedly, Barcelona is already plotting a potential replacement for Dembele when he leaves the club in summer. According to reports, the Spanish giants are negotiating with Inter Milan to buy their striker, Lautaro Martinez.

Ousmane Dembele is hailed for his ability to run past defenders, cut corners and play shots from a wide range. He was bought into the Barcelona team as a potential replacement for Neymar Jr who was sold to Paris Saint-Germain with a world-class record fee of about £200 million.
