Manchester United‘s Bruno Fernandes has picked his United’s teammate Juan Mata as one team-mate he would always want to self-isolate with if the need arises. He said why he chose the midfielder is because Mata always sings to him.

While narrating the bond between him and Mata, Fernandes revealed that whenever Mata arrives for training, he would always give him a hand and sing “Bruno, Bruno, Bruno!” which he said he really enjoys.

“I would choose Juan because if I isolate with Juan I can listen to my song all day, every day! He always sings it to me!” Fernandes told Manchester United‘s official website.

“It’s not the atmosphere of Old Trafford, but Juan is the kind of guy who puts all his heart in the song, so when he sings the music for me is really nice!”

Bruno Fernandes joined Manchester United in January and he became an instant hit for the club and in the Premier League. The midfielder has scored 3 goals and has made four assists for the Red Devils since he joined.

In less than two months at Manchester United, he won player of the month award in February, he would have probably done same in March if the coronavirus pandemic has not halted the 2019-2020 season.

Fernandes has returned to training with the rest of the squad and he is among those players who are already looking forward to the restart of the disrupted season.

He told Manchester United’s official website that his family, especially his newborn baby who was born during the lockdown helped him with life without football.

“Mentally it is also nice because I have my family with me so you can spend a lot of time with the family. I have my baby so I have a lot of time to be with her”, he said. “Normally, if I have games and training, for most of the time I’m out sleeping in hotels and everything, so I don’t have the same time to be with her. So it’s nice to have this time.

“Obviously, it’s a lot of time and sometimes we don’t know how we can be active with her, because she has a lot of energy – more than me! So you need to play a lot with her [and do] different things.

“I think it’s easy because I remember when I grew up, in my home with my father, my mother, my brother and my sister, we didn’t have a lot of space to play.”
