Former Manchester United player, Wayne Rooney shared a loved up family picture to celebrate his beautiful wife and mother of his children, Coleen, to celebrate Mother’s Day. Wayne Rooney met his wife during his days in secondary when he was still young and stupid according to him. The duo got married in 2008 and they have been blessed with four kids.
Wayne and Coleen Rooney welcomed their first child on the 2nd of November 2009 named Kai Wayne, their second child Klay Anthony came on the 21st of May 2013, and their third child named Kit Joseph was born 24 January 2016. While the people thought the couple has enough male son, 15 of February 2018, Coleen Rooney announced via Twitter that she and husband have welcomed the birth of their fourth son named Cass Mac Rooney.
Wayne Rooney’s Football Career
Wayne Rooney needs no introduction in European football, he had a successful stay in Manchester United where he won his first and only Champions League trophy in 2008 when the team defeated Chelsea at the final.
Meanwhile, it is worthy to know that Rooney’s career didn’t start in Manchester United, the Croxteth born signed for Everton youth when he was nine years old in 1996 and he played with the youth team for about six years before he was allowed to join the first team in 2002. He witnessed two successful seasons with Everton between 2002 to 2004 and scored about 15 goals in all competitions for the club.
It was not long before the eye of Manchester United caught the youngster player, he was signed with a fee of about €37.00m which at that time was a huge sum for a young player. He spent 13 seasons in Old Trafford where he had the most thrilling moments of his career. Rooney appeared in over 393 games for Manchester United and scored about 183 for the red devils before returning to his alma Mata club in 2017 on a free transfer. He spent one season in Everton before he moved to DC United in the MLS league.
Wayne Rooney didn’t spend much time in the USA before he returned to England, he joined Championship team Derby County where the 34-year-old attacker is currently enjoying the latter part of his football career.
