The manager of Barcelona Xavi Hernandez has joined Erik Ten Hag in tagging Marcus Rashford as “one of Europe’s most dangerous players” given the scintillating form of the attacker in recent months.

Across fifteen (15) matches for Manchester United since the 2022 FIFA World Cup ended, Marcus Rashford has smashed in thirteen (13) goals including scoring eight (8) goals in his last nine (9) Premier League matches.

There has been no player in Europe’s top-five leagues who has equalled his numbers in terms of goals with the mancunian attacker being the most devastating attacker for the Red Army.

This upsurge in form is coming months after his football career looked to be going to the downside at Old Trafford.

Barcelona gaffer Xavi Hernandez has concurred with Ten Hag’s appraisal that the academy groomed forward of Manchester United has become one of the most dangerous players in Europe.

In view of Barcelona’s encounter with Manchester United in The UEFA Europa League, Xavi Hernandez stated: “In the transition he is very, very dangerous so, yes, we need to take care of all of them but especially Rashford.

“He’s one of the most dangerous players now in Europe, yeah. He’s very fast, he has a very good at dribbling in one-versus-one.”

The coach of the Blaugrana side has also lauded “great coach” Erik Ten Hag for his wonderful works within a short period of time aimed at rebuilding Manchester United.

After a calamitous start to the season, Erik Ten Hag has steadied the ship at Old Trafford and is sailing it towards a positive direction.

Manchester United have amassed fourty-six (46) points in the Premier League under Erik Ten Hag in under a year of the Dutch gaffer tutulage of the side, just twelve points less than they garnered in the entire 2021/22 season with fifteen (15) games still remaining to play.

They are off to Spain to battle Barcelona who crashed out of the UEFA Champions League in the group stage.

Ten Hag is Manchester United’s fifth manager since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson

Ten Hag is the fifth (5) full-time boss Manchester United have appointed since Alex Ferguson retired after the expiration of the 2012/13 campaign.

Names like David Moyes, Louis Van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer were previously in charge of the Red Army on a permanent basis before the Dutch don was appointed in the summer of 2022/23.

Even though Manchester United have twice ended the Premier League season in second position under Mourinho and Solskjaer including winning the UEFA Europa League and Carabao Cup in 2017 with Jose Mourinho, Xavi thinks Ten Hag is the man to lead the team to El Dorado given the performance of the side since he was made the coach of the English club.

Xavi speaking ahead of the game said: “In my mind I believe that somehow (reversing) the situation of United was no easy task and he’s accomplishing it.

“They are excited again, the club, the fanbase and also the way they play does a lot. He changes things offensively, defensively, everyone’s working very well, so it’s a tough rival for us and he’s a very interesting coach.

“In my mind, he does great things – you know, variants of the line of three, the side players go inside, a lot of people go into the offence.

“He’s an offensive coach, I believe, and he proves that in most of his games. I believe he’s a reference for offensive coaches who like this kind of football.”

Marcus Rashford last scored for Manchester United in their 0-2 victory against Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday.

Erik Ten Hag looks to have changed Marcus Rashford and the young man is now more electric and sublime with his finishing, many credits must also go to Ten Hag’s assistant, Benni Mccarthy who is the striker’s coach at Manchester United.
