Mino Raiola, the agent of Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba has revealed that Turin, Italy, where Juventus is located is still in the mind of the French midfielder.

The football agent however added that the return of Paul Pogba to Turin depends on Juventus, not the footballer.

Recall that Paul Pogba was in the Manchester United reserve between 2011 and 2012. He had to leave the Premier League club then because he could not break into the club’s first team.

Manchester United allowed the French midfielder to join Juventus as a free agent on August 3, 2021. He spent four years at the Italian club before Manchester United showed interest in him again.

Pogba agreed to return to Manchester United on August 9, 2016, for a then British transfer record fee worth €105 million.

Since then, he has been a prominent player at the club even though he is sometimes criticized by the club’s fans for not doing enough for the club.

Also, injuries have not helped him to do as much as he could which is sometimes a reason why he was being criticized by the club’s fans.

However, in recent times, he has been enjoying an improved form which has made it difficult for Manchester United to allow him to leave Old Trafford again.

Paul Pogba is currently left with less than a season on his contract with Manchester United. This means that his contract with the club will expire on June 30, 2022.

Due to this, the Premier League club have been making efforts to offer the 28-year-old French midfielder a new contract but the process has been very uncertain.

In an interview with Italian TV channel Rai Sport on Friday, September 17, 2021, Pogba’s agent confirmed that Pogba’s representatives are willing to negotiate with Manchester United.

“Pogba’s contract expires next year”, Mino Raiola confirmed. “We will talk to Manchester (United) and see.

“For sure Turin has remained in his heart and he cares a lot about these things. The possibility of returning to Juventus is there but it also depends on Juve.”

On the contract tussle between Manchester United and Paul Pogba, the coach of the Premier League club, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “It’s up to us to get results and to prove to ourselves that we can win trophies.

“I think everyone that signs for Manchester United wants to win trophies and be part of a winning Manchester United.

“It’s the most magical feeling in the world to be part of a winning Manchester United team.”

Paul Pogba will be in action for Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 14:00 against West Ham United.
