When it comes to paying huge wages for players, Manchester United are always on top. Over the years, they have remained the highest-paying football team in the Premier League.

Due to poor performance and not being able to compete at the highest level, Manchester United were only able to attract world-class players through their wage structure.

The football club has been heavily criticized by the fans for wasting money on players who struggle to play with consistency.

Di Maria claimed he left Real Madrid for Manchester United due to the wages offered. Brentford striker Neal Maupay said he would love to play for the Red Devils due to the exorbitant wages they pay their players.

These are the notable Manchester United contract and expiration years ahead of the 2024 summer transfer window.

Marcus Rashford (£300,000)

The Manchester United winger signed a new contract at the beginning of the 2023–24 season with a significant rise in wages for his stellar performance last season, where he scored 30 goals in 56 appearances in all competitions.

Rashford’s contract with Manchester United will end in 2028. He had been an integral part of the Manchester United squad, but a drop in form had made the United fans call for his exit.

Jadon Sancho (£275,000)

The Manchester United winger, who is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund, receives £275,000 in weekly wages, and his contract will end in 2026.

Sancho, whom the Old Trafford outfit signed from Borussia Dortmund for a fee worth £75 million, is likely to return to the 2023–24 Champions League finalists on a permanent deal.

In addition, Borussia Dortmund wants him to stay and will negotiate with the Red Devils in the coming transfer window.

Casemiro (£250,000)

The Brazilian receives £250,000 weekly as wages, and his contract ends in 2026. He was signed from Real Madrid in the 2022–23 season for a whopping fee of £70 million.

Manchester United fans are already calling for his exit from the team after seeing the Brazilian lose form.

He was heavily criticized by the pundits for his horrible performance against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Mason Mount (£200,000)

The former Chelsea player receives £200,000 weekly, and his contract will end in 2028. The first season at Manchester United hasn’t been a good one.

He had been diagnosed with injuries and had only scored a goal in all competitions since joining the club.

Antony (£70,000)

The £100 million flop earns £70,000 weekly, and his contract ends in 2027.

Since the 20-time Premier League winners bought the Brazilian player from Ajax, he has failed to live up to expectations with horrible performances every week.

In addition, the Red Devils manager Erik Ten Hag signed a long-term contract with the club last season, and he is currently on a £9 million yearly contract.
