Kylian Mbappe has informed Ligue 1 side PSG that he will not depart the club under any circumstances whatsoever this summer.
PSG are looking to offload Mbappe this summer should they fail to renew his contract with the Ligue 1 Champions.
Al-Hilal were even granted permission to talk with Kylian Mbappe after making a world-record proposal of £259 million for the Paris Saint-Germain star.
The deal was said to be worth €300m for PSG, while the club planned to pay Mbappe €700m salary per year, with commercial agreements.
Kylian Mbappe, the 24-year-old captain of PSG, who has one year left on his contract and has refused to sign a contract extension, was dropped from pre-season tour to Japan due to the lingering contract tussle.
Reports have it that the club recently offered Mbappe a deal which included a ‘guaranteed sale’ clause for next summer, allowing both Mbappe and PSG to get what they want.
However, Kylian Mbappe was not willing to give up any of the money he would receive as a signing on bonus to PSG through a transfer fee.
Fresh reports are now suggesting that the Real Madrid target has told PSG CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he will not depart the club this summer.
This also means that Real Madrid and PSG’s immediate plans both depend on his decisions, since Kylian Mbappe managed the situation so that he is in control of his future.
PSG Warn Kylian Mbappe
PSG are not taking the new update from Mbappe likely, as they have issued a warning to the Frenchman saying he would not play for the team should he stay back this summer.
Kylian Mbappe and PSG are currently locked in a contract saga, with the 24-year-old saying that he would rather be an outcast in Paris than move to Saudi Arabia.
French journalist Bruno Andrade claims that PSG has told the superstar he will play no part in 2023-24 if he remains at the club this summer.
This is coming after the Frenchman rejected the Saudi approach and one from the Premier League as well.
Kylian Mbappe PSG’s deal is due to expire in June 2024, and therefore this is Les Parisiens’ last chance to avoid making a significant loss on the superstar.
PSG will begin the title challenge in the French Ligue 1 as they take on Lorient this weekend – though we cannot confirm which players will feature in the opener.
