Al-Hilal have been granted permission to talk with Kylian Mbappe after making a world-record proposal of £259 million for the Paris Saint-Germain striker.

The deal is said to be worth €300m for PSG, while Mbappe receives €700m salary per year, with commercial agreements,

The 24-year-old captain of PSG, who has one year left on his contract and has refused to sign a contract extension, was not chosen for their pre-season tour of Japan.

PSG’s reason for taking up such a move was to reiterate that they only want to include players who are committed to the club.

Al Hilal’s record-breaking offer is not the only one PSG have received as they have been contacted by several European teams.

The current most expensive transfer record is held by Neymar who joined PSG from FC Barcelona for a transfer fee worth £200 million in 2017.

Brazilian striker Neymar became the most expensive player in the world after PSG exercised his release clause.

After joining PSG from Monaco for £166 million in 2017, Mbappe will occupy two of the three biggest payments paid for a player if he accepts to move to Saudi Arabia.

However, Al-Hilal’s world-record bid has surpassed every other offer that has been tabled for Kylian Mbappe including cash plus players.

PSG on the other hand revealed that at least five clubs are interested in signing Mbappe, with Tottenham among them.

PSG also confirmed that there is already a “hot market” for Kylian Mbappe and are expecting more bids this week from interested clubs including Chelsea, Man United, Inter Milan, and Barcelona.

The Ligue 1 Champions are set to listen to any offer and proposals to sell the Frenchman, especially to the highest bidder.

Kylian Mbappe has one more year left on his contract and he is not willing to sign a new deal with PSG who believe he has reached an agreement with Real Madrid to join the club for free next summer.

Spanish giants, Real Madrid will be looking to tap into this recent development and make a formal bid for Mbappe to ensure they don’t miss out on him again since PSG are determined to sell the Frenchman this summer.

PSG are also looking not to lose the Frenchman – who they reportedly signed for more than £150m from Monaco – on a free transfer.

Other top teams that are interested in Kylian Mbappe are alerted on the fact that PSG are even willing to loan the player out for the season.

Mbappe on the other hand is interested in staying at the club for the remaining one year in his contract and should he stay, he wouldn’t mind being on the sidelines until he leaves for Madrid on a free transfer next summer.

Mbappe, 24, is reportedly unwilling to play for Ligue 1 Champions PSG beyond next season as he doesn’t want to extend his contract.

Mbappe Not Interested In Saudi Move Despite £259M Offer

Mbappe has revealed that he has no intention of moving to Saudi Arabia despite PSG accepting Al-Hilal’s offer and granting them permission to speak to the Frenchman.

Recall we reported that Kylian Mbappe was put up for sale after he declined signing a new contract with the Ligue 1 giants with one year left on his contract.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi who had no intention of losing Mbappe for free next summer quickly accepted fresh bid from Al-Hilal.

However, as reported by Relevo, Kylian Mbappe ‘does not want to play in Saudi Arabia’ despite Al-Hilal’s staggering bid.

The Spanish outlet revealed that Mbappe is determined to see out the final year of his contract with the reigning French champions.

Recent reports also have it that Mbappe is “willing to sit on the bench all season’ as he runs down his deal”.

Mbappe’s decision would be a difficult one for new PSG boss Luis Enrique, particularly should the reigning champions struggle on the pitch.
