Premier League leaders Arsenal will hold a bus parade in the City of London if they win the Premier League title this season.

With two matches to wrap up the season, the Gunners are leading the race for the coveted club trophy in England but have played a game more than challengers Manchester City.

They sit top of the table with 83 points, a point better than Manchester City in second place. It is the second time Arsenal have challenged for the Premier League title under Mikel Arteta.

They staged an equally formidable challenge for the English topflight title last season before being capitulated towards the end of the campaign.

This season, they are closer to the title but will hope Manchester City stumble in one of their last three remaining fixtures before they can be crowned champions

With a few games left to the end of the season, the expectations are high among Arsenal fans, who are hoping to see the club end their 20-year wait for the Premier League title.

According to sources close to the club, the North London outfit are planning to hold a parade after their final matchday if they win the Premier League title.

The report adds the parade will be a fan-centric affair to celebrate the Premier League title after a two-decade wait.

It is scheduled to be kicked off by 5pm on Monday, a day after the Gunners’ final game of the season against Everton, and it will be taken through Islington Town before returning to the Emirates Stadium.

Daily Mail adds there will be road closures by 4pm to facilitate the proceedings of the parade.

It has been heard that Islington Town Council have approved the parade and have sent out letters to residents to limit their movements and observe restrictions on the day of the parade.

While the parade plans are valid preparations for the Gunners’ possible big day, it is worth noting only a slip on the part of Manchester City in any of the last three matches will secure the league title for the Gunners. Meanwhile, they also have to win their next games against Manchester United and Everton.
