With the victory, Dortmund moved two points clear of Bayern Munich on the Bundesliga with 70 points.
The two-point gap on the top leaves the Bundesliga title battle finely poised ahead of final matchday on Saturday, 27 May.
Bayern Munich will take a trip to RheinEnergieStadion to face Koln while Borussia Dortmund will welcome Mainz to Signal Iduna Park.

On the other hand, Borussia Dortmund were eyeing their first Bundesliga title in over a decade. They last won the trophy in 2012.
