Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold says the golden boy of English football Jadon Sancho would make Liverpool a better club if he should join the club this summer.

Jadon Sancho is one of the most sought after young lad in European football. He is linked with a move to almost all the big clubs in the Premier League including Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Borussia Dortmund, where he currently plays, has placed a £100 million price tag on him but that has not scared those clubs that want his signature away.

Even the coronavirus pandemic which has halted football and almost all economic activities across Europe might not be able to stop Sancho’s big-money move to the Premier League this summer.

Though he is a winger, Sancho’s skills in the game have earned him 27 goals in 69 appearances since he joined Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

He has even been more extraordinary during the interrupted 2019-2020 football season as he has scored 17 goals and making 19 assists in 35 games across all competitions for the German Bundesliga side.

Trent Alexander-Arnold Says Sancho is a Special talent

The 20-year-old England international is most likely to join Manchester United but Liverpool‘s Alexander-Arnold would not mind if Liverpool can match up Borussia Dortmund’s asking price for the “special talent”.

“If he (Sancho) came to us, he’d make our team better”, Alexander-Arnold said.

“So, I’d be more than happy for him to come because I played with him in England and he’s a special, special, special, special talent.”

Alexander-Arnold’s dream might not come to pass as far as Sancho’s move to Anfield is concerned. Such a move could only work if the club’s talisman Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino leaves the club.

Though Mane is most likely to leave the club for Real Madrid where the coach of the Spanish La Liga club Zinedine Zidane can’t wait to have him, yet he has proven to be one of the most indispensable members of Jurgen Klopp‘s team.

Indeed, Sancho will make Liverpool, that is currently topping the Premier League table with 25 points a better team but to whose detriment in the team – Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino or Mohammed Salah?
