The summer transfer window is winding down really fast and clubs are doing everything possible to ensure that they are able to get the players they need on the summer transfer deadline day, October 5.

It is now a matter of hours before the opportunity for clubs to sign new players will be no more until January and clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Leeds United and Tottenham are still very busy in the business.

As at the time of publishing this report, Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles were carrying out medical at Manchester United. Arsenal’s Matteo Guendouzi could be announced by German side Hertha Berlin any moment from now.

Also, Tottenham’s Ryan Sessegnon has joined Bundesliga side Hoffenheim on a season-long loan while Leeds United is on the verge of signing Rennes winger Raphinha.

In the case of Edinson Cavani, he has been without a club since Paris Saint Germain released him this summer. Manchester United has decided to give the 33-year-old Uruguay center-forward a chance to prove himself in the Premier League.

While Alex Telles is expected to sign a long term deal with Manchester United after his ongoing medical with the club. The Premier League giants agreed a £15.4m deal with Porto on Sunday which is believed to be for a five-year contract for the 27-year-old left-back.

According to reports, Alex Telles is expected to remain at Manchester United’s Carrington training complex until he seals his contract with United before he would fly to Brazil to link up with his country’s national team.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are still pushing for the services of Ousmane Dembele even though Barcelona have said the French forward is still a very important part of the club’s plans for this season.

Transfer deadline: Matteo Guendouzi

As for Matteo Guendouzi, the French midfielder was not able to make things return to normal for himself at Arsenal, hence, the club is about to allow him to join a German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin on a season-long loan deal.

As that is about to be signed and sealed, Arsenal is still pushing to sign Atletico Madrid defensive midfielder Thomas Partey and the London club is also trying to get Chelsea’s star Jorginho before 11 PM BST when the transfer window is expected to close in the Premier League.

All Arsenal needs to do to seal Thomas Partey’s deal is to pay his £45m release clause which his club has refused to reduce for any club. Once that is done, the Ghanaian midfielder will be an Arsenal player this summer.
