Tottenham Hotspur Loanee Destiny Udogie Crashes His Mercedes Benz Into A Bar in Italy

    Tottenham Hotspur loanee Destiny Udogie lost control of his Mercedes Benz and smashed the car into a bar terrace in Italy.

    The 20-year-old, who plays for Serie A side Udinese on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, is set to have caused thousands of dollars in damages to the venue in the city of Udine.

    The footballer was driving late at night and made his loose car destroy bar chairs and tables that were outside.

    Udogie’s car also went through the window of the bar. 

    A picture had been circulated online on the extent of the damages on the chairs and tables thanks to the accident.  

    The number of chairs destroyed was 12, and three tables were also damaged.

    Two umbrellas, five large plant holders, and about ten plants also got damaged, and only one plant was not damaged. 

    However, the player was not hurt, and there were no reports of lives lost or injuries suffered on the scene.

    The City of Udine Police Department arrived at the scene at 3:00 am and did breathalyzer tests on the player, but they haven’t released the results.

    Udinese had commented on the incident and are planning on sanctioning the player, but they failed to say how they want to do that.

    The owner of the bar, whose name was not disclosed, had also reacted to the incident; he claimed that when it happened, he thought a bomb had exploded in front of his bar.

    The owner also confirmed the extent of the damages, claiming that it could be €3,000. 

    Who is Destiny Udogie?

    The wingback was born on November 28, 2002. The Italian is 20 years old. He currently plays for Udinese, and he is on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

    He joined Tottenham on a permanent deal for €17 million. However, he will be unable to play due to the competition in the squad.

    He has a height of 1.87 m (6 ft and 2 inches). Udogie started his youth career at the age of 15 in 2017 at Hellas Verona. He made his debut against Inter Milan on November 8, 2017.

    Udogie had his first loan spell at Udinese on July 15, 2021. During his debut season at the club, he made 37 appearances and scored five goals. The winger made his first appearance for Italy U-21 on September 3, 2021.

    Udogie is the kind of player capable of providing assists to his teammates. He is strong and disposes of opponents due to his strength. Udogie is Tottenham’s future and will help the team win titles.

    He may return to Tottenham next season to meet a new manager. The Udogie also wants to play in the Champions League if Tottenham qualifies.
