Suffering hair loss is a burden for every individual but fortunately for football stars, they have sufficient expendable cash to spend on a hair transplant. 

Hair is significant to many people, and footballers can sometimes regard it as part of their brand and fashion statement. 

And many footballers have spent staggering amounts in a bid to regain their lush appearance, megastars like Wayne Rooney and Antonio Conte have changed their hairline to several levels. 

Futballnews would be looking extensively at ten football stars who have gone under the knife for a hair transplant.

Gabriel Meghalese

We would be beginning from the Brazilian Gabriel Meghalese who has also gone through surgery for an hair transplant. 

The hair transplant was noticed in Arsenal’s away victory against Chelsea in the Premier League last campaign where the Gunners ran out 4-2 victors over their host on the day. 

Rob Holding

Holding had previously given insights on his battles with self-confidence due to his hair loss.

And he established that a hair transplant at a London clinic helped him improved his mental health.

On the 10th of October, 2021 the Englishman wrote: “Because it’s World Mental Health Day, I struggled so much with my hair and self confidence.

“I have had so many messages about where I have had my procedure.

“Wimpole Clinic in London treated me so well and I’m so happy with the results.

“I have so many messages of other people affected by simple mental health issues and self confidence issues.

“I couldn’t recommend this place enough, let’s all be better.”

Andros Towsend

While on the bench for Spurs in 2015, Townsend’s hairline was visibly receding, but skip to his time at Selhurst Park and his hairline had magically returned.

Although he has never confirmed it, a lot of fans believe he had a hair transplant.

Xherdan Shaqiri

In September 2019, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp established that Shaqiri would be unavailable for competitive action for an unstipulated time due to a ‘calf injury’.

However, when the Swiss got back to the field two months later he was seen with an entirely new hairline.

According to a journalist Chris Williams, Xherdan Shaqiri had gone through a hair transplant in that time.

It’s alleged that the Chicago Fire attacker couldn’t nod the ball during training due to the transplant.

Sadio Mane

In March 2021, One picture showed Sadio Mané walking out onto the grass holding his gloves, and fans noticed something different about the Senegalese.

While at Liverpool, fans of the Reds spotted that Sadio Mane’s hairline has suddenly moved forward and they instantly concluded that he had done a hair transplant. 

Cesc Fabregas

It is believed that the Spaniard went through his hair transplant procedure in April 2021. 

Based on reports, the procedure was done by a team of doctors at a Barcelona-based clinic. 

The procedure reportedly took many hours, during which time the medical professionals took out healthy follicles from the back and sides of Cesc Fabregas’ head and planted them into the region of his scalp that had been suffering loss. 

Gianfranco Zola

Chelsea great Gianfranco Zola can be seen with a much arranged hair recently than he did in the past.

Zola left his assistant manager position at Chelsea in 2019 and It appeared like he had altered his aging process to look more younger as his hair grew again with a 5000 graft hair transplant.

During the twilight of his career, Gianfranco Zola battled with heavy hair loss, resulting in baldness in his head’s front area. 

After his retirement from football, he is said to have done many treatments to look bright and sharp as he currently is.

The former Italian attacker is 56 years old and delighted with the facelift given to his hair, which has made him look younger. 

David Silva

David Silva is another football star who passed through hair loss and he undertook a hair transplant to sort out his concern.

During his time at Manchester City, supporters of the club were amused by Silva’s completly shaved head when he arrived at the City’s training ground for the 2018-19 pre-season. 

The centre of the Cityzens midfield created a lot of buzz after he was seen without a hair.

When he did the transplant, it was not instantly seen by everyone. They were able to establish that he had one anyway, as his hair started to grow once again and became stronger and wider than it had previously been.

The Spaniard’s hair was sorted when he joined Real Sociedad after a successful hair transplant and he looks bright, prim and proper. 

Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp divulged that he had a hair transplant in 2012. 

Klopp is also a former footballer who played in Bundesliga back in the days.

The German tactician is very open about his hair transplant, and he stated he had underwent the procedure in Germany in 2012 when he was the coach of Borussia Dortmund. 

Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte is among the early footballers to have undergone hair transplants.

Conte is believed to have undergone many transplant after he first did one back in 2000. He was the star of the Italian national team and Juventus in the 90s

Conte faced major hair loss on many occasions in his playing days and he was dissatisfied with the problem. In the early 2000s, while he was a player at Juventus, Conte had his first hair transplant.

Since hair plants were at the beginning phase of development, Conte battled a similar issue a few years after and following that, he has done two more transplants to make his hair appear thick and bulky.
