It is no news PSG are desperate to keep Kylian Mbappe while the 24-year-old is ready to leave the club.

Kylian Mbappe was close to sealing a move to Real Madrid in 2021 before PSG tied him down with another lucrative offer that made him the richest young footballer ever.

Mbappe signed a three-year deal then. Like a whirlwind, the three-year contract is fast running out. Mbappe has just one season with the Ligue 1 giants. Pertinent to note, there was a one-year contract renewal clause attached to the three-year deal but the French talismani striker is at liberty to trigger or call it quit.

Meanwhile, it is understood the highly-rated youngster is seemingly fed up with PSG’s failed attempts on the European stage which in itself is limiting to the youngster.

Lionel Messi reportedly told Mbappe he deserves a winning project with his kind of talent. Whether Kylian Mbappe’s recent exit nuances at PSG is related to the advise is unknown.

Last month, a floodgate of stunning revelations on Mbappe’s relationship with PSG were left wide opened after Mbappe’s exit letter surfaced.

In clear and candid tones, the 2022 World Cup star told PSG he will not renew his contract in 2024.

As expected, the club’s hierarchy exploded with fury and made it clear to Mbappe he must sign a new contract or be sold. July 31 has been given as the deadline for the French forward to make his decision. Meanwhile, Mbappe has revealed his exit letter was just a reminder of what he told the club in 2022 not a new decision. But why did he have to remind the club when he had told them he will not renew?

    Deepening tensions after exit letter

Mbappe’s exit letter is believed to be a result of underground tensions between him and the club on his future at the club long before he wrote the letter.

PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been clear on Mbappe’s PSG future. “We cannot lose the best striker in the world for free, ” he said. But it appears PSG may likely have to brace for that very nightmare exit as relations between the two parties seems to have broken down.

Mbappe has described PSG’s decision to publicise his exit letter as an attempt to blackmail him. Meanwhile, a recent interview in which he called PSG a devisive club has surfaced further deepening tensions.

There were reports, Kylian Mbappe will meet Nassr Al-Khelaifi as the latter prepares to address the squad in training session before their preseason tour in Japan with the aim of arresting their differences. Shockingly, the face-to-face meeting did not hold.

    PSG table €1billion offer

Defensa Central Sports reports Kylian Mbappe has been offered a lifetime unbelievable contract worth €1billion and €100million every year. According to Forbes, the proposed offer is the biggest sports contract in history.

The offer will see Mbappe stay at PSG for the next 10 years until 2034 when he will be roughly 34 years old. By then, Mbappe would have been on the twilights of his career and considering retiring from the game.

Why Mbappe turned down the offer

Mbappe has reportedly turned down the offer and is eyeing a move away from the club. While his decision to turn down the offer may come as a shock to many, it is understood the prolific forward is no longer motivated by money but a winning project that will elevate his career and help him close the trophy gap with some of the biggest names in football.

He is ready to leave the club – a decision he said he had communicated to the club since 2022 hence could not be swayed by the offer.

PSG have dropped him from their preseason tour, asking him to train with the likes of Draxler, Pareses, Wijnaldun, who are considered out of the PSG project.
