Kylian Mbappe has been put up for sale in the transfer market and dropped from Paris Saint Germain’s pre-season squad to Japan and South Korea.
PSG are convinced that Mbappe has reached an agreement with Real Madrid to join them next season as a free agent.
This move has been seen as an act of huge betrayal by the Frenchman after he previously stated that he will not leave the club for free.
This has made PSG assume that the former Monaco player wants to leave the club as a free agent. Hence, the French champions have commenced plans without him.
PSG will be traveling with their six new signings to Japan and South Korea, together with their new coach Luis Enrique.
Kylian Mbappe is now for sale and PSG are ready to entertain suitors of which there are many clubs waiting for this development.
The only other options that could prevent Kylian Mbappe from playing at Real Madrid are a few teams from the Premier League.
Recent reports have it that there was an unconfirmed 10-year offer for $1 billion that Kylian Mbappe must’ve rejected.
PSG are not happy with the Mbappe saga as he is keen to leave as a free agent in 2024, with the club seeing it as the highest possible form of treason.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, while speaking to journalist last week said: “My position is very clear and I will not repeat it every time.”
“We want Kylian Mbappe to stay, but if he wants to stay, we want him to sign a new contract.”
“We don’t want to let the best player in the world go for free, it’s impossible. PSG is a French club, it’s his city, and he’s already said he doesn’t want to leave for free.”
“If today someone made him change his mind, it’s not my fault. I’ll say it again, we won’t let one of the best players in the world go for free, that’s very clear. I will not repeat.”
Well, all we can say is – brace up for a dramatic weekend and an open front between Mbappe and PSG.
