Arsenal is ready to close a deal on Gabon star Aubameyang as the 30 years old forward has less than 16 months left on his contract. He has a choice to either sign a new deal with the Gunners or sign for a new club. However, the latter will be the best decision for the striker as Arsenal’s loss of form and poor premier league position might have raised uncertainty about his future with the club. There is news circulating that the North London side has decided to let him go on a £50 million deal if any team is interested in buying him. As of now, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and Barcelona have shown huge interest.

Manchester United is strongly considering singing Aubammeyang during the summer transfer because they need a better striker. Marcus Rashford is injury prone and they only have Odion Ighalo via a loan. As a result, Arsenal’s fantastic scorer Aubameyang will be a good addition to Manchester United’s frontline. Although United boss  Ole Gunnar Solskjar acknowledges that his club could make a complete move to let Ighalo stay in the club if he continues to impress the club, this shouldn’t stop United from pursuing Aubameyang.

The Sun added,“ United will attempt to replicate their success with Robin van Persie by luring Aubameyang from rivals Arsenal in the next window.

Since Aubameyang refused to sign a contract extension with Arsenal, it’s clear that he wants out. Therefore, Arsenal has decided to make money rather than taking a risk of losing the forward for free even if they are to sell to their rival, Man United.

Aubameyang has proved himself to be one of the all-time goalscorers in Europe for the past seven years, he scored 141 goals in 213 matches. While with Borussia Dortmund, he scored 61 goals and appeared in over 90 games.

After this year’s summer, Aubameyang will have only 12 months left on his contract with the gunners. According to the Suns, “Arsenal officials have accepted the fact he will not extend his stay in north London”. The Gabon international wants to play Champions League football and that appears unlikely for Arsenal who is currently ninth in the Premier League. To make the matter worse, Arsenal was knocked out of the Europa League last month. If Arsenal can sell Aubameyang at the asked price this summer, the club will be able to recoup almost all the £56m they paid for him three years ago.
