As medical personnel raced to help him, Danchenko, a former Shakhtar Donetsk player who had competed in the Champions League, fell and experienced a heart attack.

According to Skai, a defibrillator was available at the scene for use on Danchenko by the members of the Austrian team.

He lay “dead” and without a pulse for a while, so it seemed to be failing.

He was eventually revived and transported by ambulance to an intensive care unit.

Shakhtar released the following on social media: “We wish Oleh Danchenko a speedy recovery 🙏.”

“Former player of Shakhtar have experienced clinical death at the training camp in Turkey.”

Tragically, Viktoria passed away at the scene of the accident.
