The 25-year-old also galvanized the comeback of Manchester United in their UEFA Europa League round of 32 play-off at Camp Nou.

The Manchester based club then completed the job at Old Trafford defeating Barcelona by 2-1 via goals from Fred and Anthony to qualify for the round of 16.

In that period of time, Manchester United picked up a victory over Crystal Palace, got a point against The Peacocks prior to defeating them at Elland Road.

They also smashed Leicester City by 3-0 on the 19th of February at Old Trafford through a brace from Marcus Rashford and an additional goal from Jadon Sancho.

Rashford after receiving the award in an interview with the website of Manchester United said: “It’s obviously always good to be amongst the conversations.

“To be awarded this Player of Month, I feel like especially in the last three months, you could give it to anyone.

“Any of the people that have been voted deserve to win it, it obviously makes me feel really proud that I have managed to do it three times.

“All the players that have been up for it, even some of the ones that haven’t been up for it deserve it.

“It shows that, as a team, we are improving and, hopefully, we can continue doing that.”

When he was questioned on his significant moment from the month of February, Rashford stated that it was “Probably the Nou Camp.”

He said: “Last time I played there away, I felt like there were chances in the game, but I just didn’t take any of the chances.

“We didn’t create enough of the chances that I thought were there in the game.

“They ended up beating us 3-0 that night and it was on my mind this time to go back there and make sure we create chances, and we try to convert them.”

Marcus Rashford has now scored 26 goals in all competitions

Rashford extended his goal tally this season to 26 goals across all competitions when he took Manchester United into the lead against Real Betis in their 4-1 win over the Spanish side.

Based on that goal, he became the third player in Europe with the most goals scored so far this season behind Kylian Mbappe of PSG and Erling Haaland of Manchester City.

David De Gea also won the save of the month award for his save against Leicester City as he palmed Kelechi Iheanacho’s brilliant header away.
