This move is coming after strong criticisms from Cristiano Ronaldo in November, 2022.

The Portuguese legend and megastar, 38, left Manchester United following an inflammable interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo’s Criticism Against United

Ronaldo claimed very mimimal change has occured behind the camera at the club since he left the club to Real Madrid in 2009.

While speaking in the Uncensored interview with Piers Morgan in November, Ronaldo said: “The progress was zero.

“Since Sir Alex left, I saw no evolution in the club. Nothing had changed.

“He [Ferguson] knows better than anybody that the club is not on the path they deserve to be. He knows. Everyone knows.

“The people who don’t see that… it’s because they don’t want to see. They are blind.

“I think the fans should know the truth. I want the best for the club. This is why I come to Manchester United.”

Ronaldo further added: “But you have some things inside that don’t help (us) reach the top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal.

“A club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not, unfortunately.”

Manchester United last won the English Premier League title in the 2012/13 season, the same season legendary manager, Sir Alex Ferguson bowed out of the club.

It has been ten (10) years since then, and Manchester United haven’t laid their hands on the Premier League title. The club has also failed to win any silverware since the 2016/17 season when Jose Mourinho led them to the EFL Cup and the UEFA Europa League.

Manchester United look greatly on the path to redemption

However, that horrible run could be put to bed later this February when they clash against the Magpies in the final of the Carabao Cup.

They have also attained great heights in the English Premier League under Dutch gaffer Erik Ten Hag who looks to be steering the club positively to the right direction.

Erik Ten Hag’s side are third (3rd) on the English Premier League table, four points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur who sit fifth (5th) on the Premier League log.

Fans of the Red Army would be happy seeing how the fortunes of the club is gradually changing and getting back to glory days, but they have to show that dominance by winning trophies.

They are also still gallant in positions of capturing a trophy in four competitions, with the team being in a great position in the Premier League alongside the Europa League, Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.
