Jesse Lingard is in the last year of his contract with Manchester United and he has decided to fire his agent Mino Raiola. Futballnews believes that Lingard parted ways with Mino Raiola because Raiola couldn’t get United to pick up the option to extend his contract.
In 2017, Jesse Lingard who is now 27 years old signed a 4 years deal with Manchester United, and the contract expires on 30.06.2021. He earned (£3.9m / £75k) in wages. Jesse Lingard earned £3.9m per year and £75k per week as a Manchester United player and he will continue to earn this amount until the end of his contract.
Football agent, Mino Raiola started working with Lingard at the beginning of the year 2020 in an effort to get United to extend his contract. Since United is unwilling to extend Lingard’s contract, Lingard fired Raiola and he will now be managed by his family member and associates in other to not pay a hefty agent fee if he gets a new deal.
A source close to the contract discussion told Futballnews that the separation was mutual and that both Raiola and Lingard are on good terms. Jesse Lingard is still with Manchester United but he has not been used since September.
He missed about 7 games due to a hip injury, and fans should expect to see him back on the field very soon.
Jesse Lingard’s potential transfer destination.
Tottenham and Porto were interested in signing Jesse Lingard during the 2020 summer transfer window but the deal didn’t go through. He is now in the final year of his contract with Manchester United and he will most likely leave as a free agent.
It makes sense to fire Mino Raiola so that he could keep all of his free-agent transfer money. United refused to exercise the options to extend his contract for an additional 12 months, but there’s still time for United to pick up the option if they want him on the team.
