The Reds have raked in a record 68 trophies into the club’s trophy haul, with the 1970s and 1980s being the greenest years in the club’s history. They dominated English football, including European club competitions in those years.

Fifth on the list of the most successful English clubs is Manchester City with 29 trophies.

Despite over a decade of trophy drought, Tottenham are sixth on the list of the most successful clubs in England. They have 26 trophies in English football. The Lilywhites are struggling for a top-four finish this season.
- Aston Villa
Despite a crumbling history that has seen the club fell off the pecking order in English football, Aston Villa are one of the English cups who won the European Cup.
They have won a total of 25 trophies but their last domestic title win came in 1981, a year before they won their first European Cup.
Everton, who are currently battling to survive relegation in the Premier are one of the most successful clubs in England with 24 trophies.
They have won various domestic trophies before their recent slump in the league.
9. Newcastle United
The Magpies are 9th on the list and are pushing for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season. They are also in the Carabao Cup finals and will hope to add to their trophy tally this season.
They have won 14 trophies and are recreating their glory days under Eddie Howe and heavy investments following a takeover by Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund in October 2021.
10. Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest are 10th on the list of the most successful clubs in England. They have won 13 trophies including several domestic trophies and the European Cup in its glory days.
