Harry Kane is set to return to his boyhood club Tottenham Hotspur for the first time after his groundbreaking switch to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

The Tottenham and England all-time topscorer left the Premier League last summer after Bayern Munich came calling with a £100m-plus offer to Spurs for the player.

Kane joined Bayern Munich for £82m with add-ons exceeding the £100m mark. The England international was Tottenham Hotspur’s second most expensive departure after Gareth Bale’s £85m move to Real Madrid in LaLiga.

Kane has contract with Bayern Munich until 2027 but is set to have a taste again of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a year after his departure.

According to the Sun, the prolific goalscorer will be a part of the Bayern Munich squad for a club friendly between Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich scheduled to take place on August 10.

The Lilywhites are scheduled to play the Bundesliga giants in a preseason friendly dubbed the Visit Malta Cup before the beginning of next season.

It will be a poignant return for the Bayern Munich sensation who is expected to be greeted with a standing ovation as he returns to the club he had played all through his career before moving to Germany. The 30-year-old, who is on fiery form for Bayern Munich, had a brilliant individual career with Tottenham despite the club’s decade-long trophyless run.

Harry Kane back to Bayern Munich training after injury scare

Harry Kane missed England’s double-header friendlies against Brazil and Belgium during the just-concluded March international break due to an ankle injury.

Despite joining the squad from Bayern Munich after the injury scare, he could not feature in the friendlies and had to withdraw from the squad back to Bayern Munich for his recovery.

Bayern Munich confirmed he has returned to the turf in his first training session after the injury and is in contention to return to action with the club.
