Bayern Munich Succumb To Real Madrid At The Santiago Bernabeu

Kane saw Bayern Munich being submerged by Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, in a game with a nail-biting ending for fans of both clubs.

Harry Kane was substituted in the 84th minute for Choupo-Moting, and it was after his exit that Thomas Tuchel’s side capitulated.

Definitely feeling powerless, as he watched on from the bench, gutted by how their lead had been thrown away.

Alphonso Davies netted in the 68th minute for Bayern Munich, before substitute Joselu came off the bench to score two crucial goals for Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the 88th and 90+1 minute, to secure victory for Real Madrid in front of their home supporters.

Both clubs had initially played out a 2-2 draw in the first leg at the Allianz Arena, with Harry Kane and Leroy Sane penning their name on the score sheet for Bayern Munich.

Vinicius Jr, who was menacing in the two legs, netted a brace for Real Madrid in the first leg and nearly penned his name on the score sheet in the second affair in the tie.

The UEFA Champions League Was The Englishman’s Last Hope For A Trophy This Season

Harry Kane was basking in the hopes of possibly winning the UEFA Champions League, however, that hope went with the wind within the twinkle of an eye.

In the league, despite scoring a staggering amount of goals, Kane’s efforts have also become worthless, as Bayern Munich also lost the German Bundesliga to Bayer Leverkusen, due to their insipid display this term.

His first game at the Munich-based side was against RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup and he also witnessed his side lose that title to RB Leipzig.

They fell 3-0 at the Allianz Arena, with Harry Kane coming on in the 63rd minute for Mathys Tel but unable to wave a magic wand.

No KANE, No GAIN for Bayern Munich in the DFB-POKAL, as Thomas Tuchel’s side suffered a 2-1 loss to German 3rd division side Saarbrucken, with Harry Kane being on the bench for the entirety of that fixture.

Some sections of football fans across the globe definitely feel sorry for him, and are wondering why he has over the years come so close to winning a trophy in his career but falters at the important stage.

There is even a sarcastic phrase that has been making the rounds since he moved to Bavaria, and that has to do with his ties with his former club Tottenham Hotspur.

The phrase goes thus: “You can take the man out of Spurs, but you can’t take Spurs out of the man”.

This is also a bug that former club Tottenham Hotspur are experiencing, as they have been without a major trophy for more than a decade, and some feel that sarcastically has rubbed off on the footballer.

Anyway, it can be said that he joined Bayern Munich at a turbulent phase, with the team battling an administrative crisis and having a manager, who has failed to deliver this campaign.
