With few months remaining in his two-year contract, there have been speculations on his PSG future

Reports have emerged linking Messi to a Barcelona return after he exited the club in 2021.

He has also been linked with a move to David Beckham’s Inter Miami in the MLS after the expiration of his PSG contract.

Recently, the World Cup winner made the headlines after reports emerged he may likely join Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nasr rivals, Al-Hilal, ready to table a record £194m-a-year deal.

His father, who is a Saudi ambassador, was spotted in the country, fueling rumors Lionel Messi may be on his way out from Parc Des Princes after his contract expires.

Lionel Messi’s PSG exit rumors gained momentum when reports emerges the stalled contract renewal talks was due to PSG’s fear of being sanctioned by UEFA for breaching FFP Rules.

There were also reports of an uneasy relationship with PSG boss Christophe Galtier.

Amid the lingering reports of a possible summer exit, Jorge, who is also Lionel Messi’s agent, has come out to debunk the report in a virulent and raging social media post.

In a seemingly outrageous outburst, Jorge branded all Lionel Messi transfer rumors as lies and fake with no modicum of truth.

He wrote, “How long are they going to lie??? Where are the tests??? Ahhh what is it all fake… OK!!. For many what to put I don’t know believe nothing… WE ARE NOT GOING TO TOLERATE MORE INVENTIONS TO GAIN FOLLOWERS.”

PSG is keen on keeping Lionel Messi, but it has been confirmed a deal is yet to be struck between the two parties for contract renewal.

If things remain the way they are in the next few months, Lionel Messi will be a free agent and may join any club on a free transfer.

His PSG future remains uncertain as things stand. The 2022 World Cup hero has 13 goals and 13 assists for PSG this season, including four Champions League goals.

After PSG’s Champions League exit, PSG Ultras have planned a protest against the 35-year-old, blasting him for his underwhelming two-year spell despite his over-bloated weekly earnings at the club.
