Major League Soccer club Inter Miami have been handed a positive development in their push to acquire Lionel Messi with speculations indicating that the World Cup winner is not certain of his continuous stay in Paris. 

The contractual agreement between Lionel Messi and French side Paris Saint Germain runs out at the end of this campaign in May and discussions have been made about furthering the contractual terms of the Argentine great.

However, Based on a reportage from French media outlet, L’Equipe on Wednesday, The Barcelona Legend is growingly not certain if he would continue in Paris.

In the previous month, when Inter Miami got back for training activities in preparation for the upcoming Major League Soccer campaign beginning in February, Phil Neville in a presser didn’t rule out a possible acquisition of the forward.

The manager of Inter Miami said this with team captain Gregore Da Silva, who also didn’t rule out a possible move for Lionel Messi. 

Phil Neville said: “We want to bring the best players in the world to this club and he is probably the best player, so for us the landscape has not changed at all,” .

“With any deal for any DP [Designated Player] of that level, it’s complicated. It takes time.” 

While Gregore Da Silva said: “Why not? I believe it could happen, Players around the world view MLS as a great league. 

“If Messi comes, I would be happy because I like to play with the best and learn from them.”

Lionel Messi has scored 10 goals and has made 10 assists in 18 Ligue 1 appearances for The Parisians.
