Good day, here are some of the transfer rumours in the English Premier League today.

    Chelse considers alternative to Sancho

Chelsea has chosen Bayer Leverkusen player, Kai Havertz, as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund winger, Jadon Sancho as they continue to assess their transfer market options.

Sancho is reportedly favouring a reported £120 million move to Manchester United.

ESPN. reported that Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard is preparing to overhaul his squad this summer as the club already signed Timo Werner from RB Leipzig in addition to the £38m capture of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax.

So, they need another attacking player as they could sell William and Pedro.

Silva still wants to play for another two years

Paris Saint-Germain defender, Thiago Silva, is hoping to play for another top European club for at least two more seasons.

The 35-year-old PSG skipper who was recently told that he wouldn’t be getting a new contract at the Paris club after turning down a pay cut offer will leave the Ligue 1 champions once 2019-20 Champions League campaign is over.

ESPN reports that the Brazilian center-back wants to play for another top European club and would willingly take a cut on his €211,000-per-week existing wage. It was reported that this was part of his plan to increase the chances of being part of Brazil’s 2022 World Cup squad in Qatar.

Clubs reportedly wanting his service include Napoli that is likely to sell Kalidou Koulibaly and Everton, where he could be reunited with Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Other clubs reportedly interested in signing him include Arsenal, Newcastle, West Ham, and Wolves.

No breakthrough on contract talks between Arsenal and Aubameyang

Arsenal is hoping to make headway in contract negotiation with striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s father and agent due to the club’s relationship with him.

With a full season left on his current deal, the Gunners want to tie down the Gabonese to send away suitors quickly.

30-year-old Aubameyang, who was the joint-Golden Boot winner in the Premier League last season, is on the radar of top clubs across Europe. But the coronavirus pandemic has reduced the speculations surrounding his likely exit fro the Emirate Stadium.

As clubs have been hit with the coronavirus pandemic, their budgets have been affected. 90 Minutes reports that Barcelona, who is a long-term admirer of the Gabonese, wants swap deals rather than spending cash on recruits.

Leicester prepares Chilwell’s replacement as interest from Chelsea grows

Although Leicester is not willing to sell its left-back, Ben Chilwell, the club has lined up Argentine international left-back Nicolas Tagliafico in case he moves to the Stamford Bridge.

Manchester City could also join the race in the summer to have another left-back backup – the position they used Fabian Delph after Benjamin Mendy was injured for a long time. Delph has left the noisy neighbours to for Everton to play his midfield role.

Southampton wants nothing less than £35million for Hojbjerg

Southampton is ready to sell captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to a willing club that is ready to pay £35million for his service.

With a year left on his contract, the midfielder is reportedly wanted by Tottenham and Everton. The prospect of getting European action and silverware is his main aim.

With talks on contract extension hitting the rock, the Danish international may be stripped off of his captaincy as the manager Ralph Hasenhuttl said it’s not good for him.
