    Didier Drogba, a Chelsea legend, has finally put an end to rumors that he had converted from Christianity to Islam.

    The Ivorian insists that he has not converted to Islam, that he was after blessing from different angles.

    According to rumors, the 44-year-old converted after visiting some Islamic experts in his Ivory Coast neighborhood.

    In fact, images of Drogba praying in an Islamic manner with his hand were shared on social media.

    Before the Ivorian stepped forward to deny changing faith, there were conflicting reactions to the stories on social media.

    Drogba clarified that he has not converted to Islam in the information he supplied on his Twitter page.

    The former striker tweeted: “This story is going viral but I haven’t changed religion. This was just me paying respect to my Muslim brothers i was visiting in my village. A moment of togetherness. Much love and blessings to all”.

    He further added with a laughing emoji that: “Who doesn’t want all the blessings.”
