Darwin Nunez Deletes All Liverpool-related Posts On Instagram Amidst Barcelona Links

Speculations have swirled around the future of Darwin Nunez at Liverpool following his shocking social media activity.

Nunez, 24, took to his Instagram account to delete all Liverpool-related posts, leaving only posts with his family, former club Benfica, and Uruguay national team.

From his Reels to his News Feed, all posts and footage related to Liverpool have been cleared by the player. Only his profile picture in the Liverpool shirt is untouched.

It is understood all is not going well with the player at Anfield. Darwin Nunez has been key to the Liverpool squad this season. He has made 34 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals with 8 assists.

He has scored 5 Europa League goals with 1 assist, including a goal in the EFL Cup. Overall, the Uruguayan has recorded 17 goals for Liverpool with 12 assists in all competitions.

However, he has struggled for minutes recently following the club’s dismal run-ins at the domestic and European scene.

Darwin Nunez linked to Liverpool exit

The £85m signing from Benfica has been linked to a possible summer exit from Liverpool long before he sanitized his IG account with all Liverpool-related posts.

He has four years left on his Liverpool but could leave following his dwindling fortunes at the club, as per close sources. The deletion of all Liverpool-related posts on his social media handle has given more impetus to the exit narrative with the player apparently frustrated with his current situation at the club.

We reported earlier Barcelona have been linked to a move for the Uruguayan. Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez is reportedly ready to sign the player as a replacement for a misfiring Robert Lewandowski, whose financial pecks is limiting the club’s ability to reinforce this summer.

With a relatively low wage than Lewandowski, Xavi is reportedly ready to go all out for the Nunez. Nunez, on the other hand, has reportedly reiterated his dream of donning the Barcelona colors and has been a strong fan of the club since childhood.
