Hours after being released from prison, Dani Alves celebrated his freedom with an all-night party at his mansion in Spain, which cost about £4.5 million.

Alves was released after serving barely four weeks of his rape conviction following the payment of his €1 million bail.

Dani Alves was convicted of raping a woman at a nightclub in Catalonia in December 2022 and was slammed with a four-and-half-year sentence in February 2024.

When was Dani Alves released from prison on bail

However, after winning his battle to serve his sentence from home, the Brazilian was seen walking out of Brian 2 Prison on Monday, March 25, 2024, alongside his lawyer Ines Guardiola.

Reports indicate that after craving burgers for dinner following his release, Alves pulled an all-night bash with his friends and family until 5:00 in the morning.

Daniel Alves is said to have celebrated his dad’s recent birthday elaborately at his villa in Esplugues de Llobregat – a villa he co-owns with ex-wife Joana Sanz.

Domingos Alves Da Silva, the father of the former Barcelona man, had his birthday celebrated by friends and family of the footballer.

Based on reports via a Spanish TV program, This is Life, the birthday was celebrated at a dinner party in Barcelona.

On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, two men visited Dani Alves.

According to reports, the men objected to responding to questions over their connections with the footballer.

The former Juventus defender was pictured straight-faced as he walked through his mansion’s front door on March 25, 2024.

In the evening, a housekeeper was seen at the door receiving the hamburgers the 40-year-old had ordered for dinner.

Additionally, a bouquet of flowers was also delivered to the apartment soon after Dani Alves returned.

This evoked rumors that it was a gift from his ex-wife, whose whereabouts remain unknown.

Sanz hasn’t updated her Instagram page after deactivating it about a fortnight ago, before mysteriously reactivating it during the previous weekend.

Apart from being released from prison, what must Dani Alves do weekly?

Anyway, the footballer is expected to appear in court every Friday, a stipulation that he must abide by after paying his €1 million bail bond.

Dani Alves also had to put forward his Spanish and Brazilian passports to the authorities to prevent him from leaving Spain.

Meanwhile, Alves four and a half year sentence is lesser than the nine years public prosecutors demanded.

His accuser and victim had also hoped for a 12-year jail term for the footballer if convicted.

Dani Alves insisted on the final day of his three-day trial that he was innocent and maintained that the sex he had with the accuser was consensual.

The former Paris Saint Germain man was accused by the accuser of forcing her to have sex in a private bathroom of the nightclub despite begging him to let go of her.

Alves’s lawyer Ines Guardiola argued that given the victim’s closeness with the Brazilian star, there was “sexual tension” between them.

However, the Spanish court shared in its 61-page decision that despite what happened before the rape at the nightclub, it did not mean that “she consented to anything that might have subsequently happened”.

Dani Alves struggled to raise money to sort his bail bond, as his accounts in Brazil were blocked amid an ongoing challenge against Joana Sanz, his estranged partner.

Rape victim’s lawyer infuriated by Spanish court decision

Moreover, the lawyer of the victim, Ester Garcia, was infuriated by the decision of the court to grant the footballer bail on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

She said on RAC1 radio that it was basically “justice for the rich”, stressing that she is indeed “very surprised”.

Ester said: “I’m very surprised and totally outraged… because it’s like this is justice for the rich.

“It is scandalous that they can free a person who they know can get hold of a million euros in a heartbeat.”

Ester Garcia also revealed that they will be lodging an appeal as they are “dissatisfied by the decision”.

She said: “I am very dissatisfied with this court decision. We will lodge an appeal because we believe it is not in accordance with the law.”

Furthermore, Dani Alves played for several clubs in his career, including; Barcelona, Sevilla, Juventus, and Paris Saint Germain.

Alves won many trophies in his career including; 3 UEFA Champions League, 2 Copa America, and 3 FIFA Club World Cup.

The 40-year-old scored 61 goals and provided 178 assists in 869 appearances across all competitions.
