David Beckham has jokingly sent football lovers across the globe into a wonderland after hanging out with former Barcelona star Neymar Jr.

The Inter Miami co-owner posted a picture of himself, and his wife Victoria Beckham with Naymar as the former Man United star jokingly welcomed the Brazilian star to the City for dinner.

Victoria dressed to impress, donning a sensational black blouse and trousers, while her husband (David) opted for a navy blazer and white T-shirt.

Neymar kept it cool with a cap worn backward, a diamond chain, and black double denim as he posed with the superstar couple – thus sparking reaction about a transfer to the team David has co-owned since 2018.

Beckham posted the photo on Friday, March 29, with a caption; “Welcome to Miami, my friend, only for dinner” – with a laughing emoji while he tagged Neymar, Inter Miami and Victoria.

After Beckham shared the picture on Instagram, fans were left with speculation, some fans expressed their feeling and hope for big surprises, with comments ranging from anticipating Neymar’s potential move to Inter Miami or a reunion with Lionel Messi.

Others urged David Beckham to bring Neymar to the team, while some expressed admiration and love for the picture.

The picture spurred debates and assumptions among fans, with many believing there was more to the meeting than just dinner, hinting at a possible transfer that would once again re-unite their Argentine star with the ex-teammate.

Neymar himself commented on the post, he wrote; “Thank u boss” with a laughing emoji.

Since David Beckham joined Miami in 2023, the club has acquired some of Lionel Messi’s teammates including Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and former striking partner Luis Suarez.

During Messi’s time with Barcelona from 2004 to 2021, he enjoyed a trophy spell alongside Neymar, the duo played together from 2013 to 2017 forming a sensational attacking trio with Suarez.

During that time frame, the pair were some of the most productive players in world football. Messi scored 158 goals and 66 assists in a more free role, compared to Neymar’s 105 goals and 59 assists, mainly coming from the left wing.

They clearly had a natural bond for understanding each other’s placement on the pitch, with both possessing the ability to draw the attention of several defenders.

Neymar left Barcelona in the summer of 2017 to join Paris Saint Germain for a record fee reportedly worth 222 million euros, after six years with the French powerhouse, he signed for Saudi Arabia outfit Al Hilal on a two-year deal in 2023 a deal worth €90 million.

He’s played in just three Saudi Pro League matches after rupturing his left ACL, keeping him out of competition for the rest of the season.

Four months after the injury, Al Hilal fans criticized the Brazilian star during his rehabilitation period, even saying that he appeared to be overweight upon returning to training.

In response to the comments, Neymar posted a video on Instagram saying; “I’ve put on beauty weight. But fat? No, I guess not. Suck it, haters.”

Neymar’s contract with the Saudi club ends in the summer of 2025, with Messi’s deal with Inter Miami ending that summer, however, according to several reports, the Argentine World Cup winner has expressed a desire to return to Newell’s Old Boys, the youth club he played for from 1995 to 2000 before leaving to join Barcelona.
