    Thomas Tuchel’s men drop another crucial point in the Bundesliga after a 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim.

    Even though Bayern Munich dominated the match, they could not make use of their available chances.

    It is the second time Bayern Munich will be dropping points; they failed to beat Manchester City in the Champions League and now have a draw with Hoffenheim in the league.

    This will not sit well with the Bayern Munich’s board, who thought Tuchel would change the fortunes of the team, but they are getting different results.

    How Bayern Munich played 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim

    Hoffenheim started well with a second minute on goal, taking an attempt but being it was pulled away by Bayern Munich right back Pavard. 

    However, Bayern Munich’s first goal came in the 16th minute after Hoffenheim failed to clear Kimmich’s corner, which landed on Kingsley Coman’s path.

    The French winger put Pavard in the box, and the right wing defender scored an excellent goal.

    The goal was Pavard’s seventh of the season. After Pavard’s goal, Bayern Munich failed to get a single shot on target till the end of the first half. 

    Bayern Munich almost got another goal, but Hoffenheim defender Kabak headed the ball away for a corner.

    In the 51st minute of the match, Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer was also involved after colliding with Hoffenheim striker Kramaric. There was a pause as medical staff attended to him.

    Joao Cancelo took a beautiful long shot in the 64th minute from outside the box with the hope of getting it into the net, but Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann made an excellent save to keep the scoreline the same.

    After a Cancelo attempt, Hoffenheim got a free kick in the 70th minute. Kramaric scored an excellent free kick with Bayern Munich goalkeeper Sommer not having a single chance of saving the ball.

    Pavard got the second goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball was ruled out by VAR for offside. 

    Another delay occurred when the medical staff attended to Thomas Mueller’s injury. Tuchel called the attention of his players and gave them more tactical advice in a bid to win the match.

    A few minutes after the match resumed, Gnabry got a chance to give Bayern Munich the lead, but Hoffenheim goalkeeper Baumann did the best with a nice save to keep his team in the match.

    Mathys Tel got a chance in the 84th minute, but Oliver Baumann, the Hoffenheim goalkeeper, stopped the ball from going in. The goalkeeper, after the match, deserves to win “Man of the Match.”

    Gnabry missed a golden chance to get the winning goal in the 88th minute, and Tuchel was seen showing how dissatisfied he is after Gnabry’s chance.

    In the second half of the extra minute, Gnabry’s shot was saved for the third time this evening. Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann was the best on the pitch today.

    What Next For Bayern Munich And Hoffenheim

    Bayern Munich play Mainz on April 22, 2023. It is a must-win for Bayern Munich due to the 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim and also because Borussia Dortmund is putting more pressure on them in the race for the title.

    Hoffenheim will play against RB Leipzig away from home on April 29, 2023. It is going to be a difficult match because of the current form of RB Leipzig.
