Arsenal midfield Lucas Torreira has asked Arsenal for a transfer, his representative told Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta and Arsenal front office that Torreira wants to move back to Italy. As you all know, Lucas was a big part of Arsenal team before Mikel Arteta took over as the head coach, but since Mikel, as been in charge, Lucas hasn’t seen enough game time and since Arsenal is pursuing Thomas Partey, this may mean that Lucas may see less game time to none.
Instead of waiting around to get loaned out and in a wort car his value reduced, Lucas Torreira has asked or transfer to return to Italy.
Pablo Bentancur is Torreira’s representative and he revealed Torreira’s desire is to seal a move back to Serie A.
“He was a bit angry about some technical issues, but later recovered,” Bentancur said to TodoMercadoWeb.
“The injury came, though it was fortunately less serious than expected. Today he is fully recovered, I think he will be an important man in the next [transfer] market.
“I will have to talk to Arsenal. The player would like to return to Italy, but it must be admitted that in England they have treated him very well.”
Lucas Torreira plays for Uruguay national team, this is his second season with the Gunners and he is ready to leave. He transferred over to the Premier League club from Sampdoria in July 2018 for a reported £26 million fee.
