Danjuma previously agreed terms with the Toffees in January but later opted to join Tottenham after they submitted a late bid.

The 26-year-old made 9 appearances for Tottenham before he returned to Spain at the end of the same season.

However, the Netherlands winger revealed that he did not move to Everton in January because of some managerial issues.

Arnaut Danjuma did not complete the move to Toffees following Frank Lampard’s sacking and the hiring of Sean Dyche seven days later, just a day before the transfer window closed.

The winger becomes Dyche’s second signing as Everton’s manager after they completed that of Ashley Young ahead of the new season.

Speaking on the move, Danjuma said: “I think it makes it even more beautiful for me to join now.”

“I had interest from other clubs but there was a pull towards Everton because of the fans, the manager, and the history of the club.”

“It is second time lucky for me.”

Arnaut Danjuma has six caps for the Netherlands and was part of the Villarreal team that lost to Liverpool in the 2021-22 Champions League semi-final.

This will be Danjuma’s third spell in the Premier League after signing for Bournemouth in 2019 and moving to La Liga in 2021.
