Amad Diallo continues to recuperate and he is expected to return to action in December 2023.

The 21-year-old is constantly keeping his fans abreast of his recovery process, and he recently shared a picture to his story which showed his knee.

It showed a big scar which indicated that he might have undergone surgery to hasten his recovery period.

Manchester United are short of wingers on the right flank, and this is due to the turn of events in recent weeks.

Mason Greenwood joined Getafe on a loan deal until the end of the 2023/24 season, although it included a break clause if he doesn’t deliver in Spain.

Jadon Sancho has also had an altercation with manager Erik Ten Hag, after an inflammatory post that he shared on Twitter.

Ten Hag said in a presser after the encounter that Sancho failed to reach a level worthy enough for a starting shirt against Arsenal and that was the reason he wasn’t included in the squad.

The Dutch manager said: “Jadon, on his performance in training, was not selected.

“You have to reach a level at Manchester United every day and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game he was not selected.”

The English winger afterward responded with a statement on Twitter, implying that he has been a “scapegoat” for a lengthy period.

An excerpt from his statement reads: “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue.

He added: “I have been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair! All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.”

Meanwhile, first option for Erik Ten Hag at left wing, Antony, is also currently dealing with serious issues.

He has been accused of domestic violence by ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin, and there have been calls that the winger be dropped from the squad.

An investigation is ongoing over the matter, while Antony was also dropped on Monday, September 4, 2023, from Brazil’s upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru.

Manchester United released a statement on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, revealing that they are aware of the situation.

Antony is currently being investigated by the police in Sao Paulo and Manchester.

An excerpt from a statement released by the club on their website reads: “Manchester United acknowledges the allegations made against Antony and notes that the Police are conducting enquiries.

“Pending further information, the club will be making no further comments.”

Meanwhile, Amad Diallo spent the entirety of the 2022/23 season on loan at Sunderland, scoring 14 goals and providing 4 assists in 43 appearances.

He joined Manchester United on January 2, 2021, for a fee of €21.3 million from Serie A side Atlanta.

The Ivorian has made 9 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist.
