There are strong reports that former Super Eagles of Nigeria player, Victor Moses, has successfully departed Italy which has become the epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic that started in Wuhan, China.
The Chelsea football star who now plays for Inter Milan on loan was among other players of the club who were placed under a 14-day quarantine. After the 14-day quarantine, he was reportedly tested negative and he was reportedly among the seven players of the club that were cleared to return to their bases.
The whole Inter Milan Squad had to be placed on a two weeks self-isolation after Juventus defender Daniel Rugani was diagnosed with coronavirus.
The Juventus player who was diagnosed with the disease two weeks ago was an unused substitute in the Derby d’Italia game that ended 2-0 in favour of Juventus.
Besides Victor Moses, other Antonio Conte’s boys who were reportedly allowed to return to their various bases on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, include Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young, Christian Eriksen and Diego Godin.
However, a check on the social media pages of the 29-year-old Nigerian footballer showed that the player has not been active online. For instance, the last time he made any tweet was on February 28 after the last Europa League game between Inter Milan and Bulgarian side Ludogorets. Antonio Conte’s boys won the match 2 goals to nothing in front of an empty stadium.
Victor Moses Before Inter Milan
Moses began his career in the English Championship with Crystal Palace, before his performances caught the eye of Wigan Athletic, where he made his Premier League debut in 2010.
After two years, his game had improved to the extent that European champions Chelsea were interested, and he signed for them in the summer of 2012.
Since then, he has gone on to play for several other clubs on load including Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United and now Inter Milan.
Before he retired from international football, he has gained over 35 caps for Nigeria since his debut in 2012 and played in Super Eagles’ winning campaign at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, as well as the campaign in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
