Chelsea almost went ahead in the second half with Raheem Sterling’s free kick hitting the bar and Levi Colwill pouncing on the rebounce.

VAR intervened to stop Chelsea from going forward in the game after ruling the ball offside.

How Chelsea Played A Goalless Draw Against Bournemouth

Chelsea started the game well with a powerful shot from Raheem Sterling in the second minute of the match.

The English winger also came close to scoring a goal a few minutes after his first shot, but the ball went wide.

In the first 15 minutes of the match, Chelsea seemed to be in control of the match, with the latest attempt coming from Nicolas Jackson.

The former Villarreal striker hit the ball on target, but Bournemouth got saved by the bar.

Ouattara had a chance to put Bournemouth ahead when Sanchez stretched to make it 0-0 for Chelsea.

Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto made a nice save to deny Conor Gallagher his first goal of the match. Neto dived to the right to save his team from going behind.

In the second half, Chelsea had the ball at the back of the net, but it was ruled out for offside after VAR intervention.

In the 80th minute, Solanke almost got a goal for Bournemouth but Chelsea’s impressive goalkeeper Sanchez made yet another save to keep Chelsea in the game.

Chilwell, who came in the second half, crossed the ball onto Jackson’s path, but the Senegalese couldn’t connect with the ball to give Chelsea a goal.

Chelsea’s new signing Cole Palmer made an immediate impact in the 85th minute of the match, but his attempt was saved by Neto.

What Next for Bournemouth and Chelsea?

The Bournemouth side will face Brighton on September 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Vitality Stadium.

Brighton are a very difficult team to play against, and Bournemouth doesn’t stand a chance to defeat them.
