Manchester United winger Antony has seemingly been through a lot and he has shared an insight into his ordeal in a soon-to-be-released film.
The frequently castigated winger was seen in an emotional state as he fought back tears in the trailer of the upcoming series that would showcase Antony’s early life.
Antony started his professional football career at Brazilian side Sao Paulo, before joining Ajax on July 1, 2020.
The Brazilian was impressive in his two-year stint with the Eredivisie side, scoring 24 goals and providing 22 assists in 84 appearances.
His brilliance at Ajax attracted the interest of top European clubs, and English giants Manchester United secured his signature.
Antony put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Red Devils on August 30, 2023, and he is expected to remain at the club.
In his nearly one-year stay at Old Trafford, he has flattered to deceive, although many are optimistic that he might hit top gear soon.
The 23-year-old has scored 8 goals and provided 3 assists in 46 appearances so far for Manchester United.
Antony was instrumental in Erik Ten Hag’s side earning a UEFA Champions League ticket for the 2023/24 season and he also helped the club win the Carabao Cup in his first season at Old Trafford.

The soon-to-be-released series has been titled “It All Starts With a Dream”, and he dived into the heart of his hometown Sao Paulo.
He grew up in Inferninho, a place tagged “little hell”, where there is a massive prevalence of drug dealing and gang fighting.
In talking about his hometown, Antony expressed in the trailer that it is a place ingrained in him forever.
He said despite sobbing: “I will carry this place here, for the rest of my life.”
Antony’s career trajectory has been phenomenal, from being a darling of a club based in his hometown to representing one of the biggest clubs in football, Manchester United.
He has been lashed severally for unnecessarily showboating and lack of chemistry in the Red Devils attack.
However, it is also worth noting that some sections of Manchester United supporters feel the Brazilian is a silent worker.
The 23-year-old scored 4 goals and provided 6 assists in 37 appearances for Sao Paulo FC.
Antony hasn’t only featured for Manchester United, Sao Paulo, and Ajax, he has also represented the prestigious Selecao of Brazil.
He has made 16 appearances for Brazil, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists across all competitions.
The heavily lambasted attacker made his debut for the 5-time World Cup champions on October 8, 2021.
He was also part of the Brazil U-23 squad that won the Gold medal in football at the Tokyo 2022 Olympic Games.
