Watford Fc has begun an investigation into the social media activity of their Venezuela international player Adalberto Penaranda, who was shown in a leaked video of a sex party.
The Venezuelan international was involved in a sex party that was recorded and shared on a closed Instagram social media group which can only be accessed by a close friend but somehow was leaked outside of the group and has since been making the round on social media.
Watford released an official statement saying “Watford FC confirms they are currently investigating the matter but will make no comment at this time.”
Adalberto Penaranda, move to Europe from Deportivo La Guaira in Venezuela after making 37 appearances and scoring 4 goals, he plays naturally as a center forward but can also play as a winger on either side. He moved to Italian club Udinese in 2015 while the current club owner of Watford was at Udinese, but was loaned out to Spanish side Granada where he played 9 games with 4 goals in 2015/16. He was sold to Watford for around £9.5 million in 2016
but was unable to get a British work permit, so, he was loaned out to Granada for a second spell where he managed one goal after 14 appearances, before he was loaned to Udinese for a second spell but didn’t score with just 6 appearances, he played a part in Watford’s 2018/19 season scoring in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup before ending out on another loan to Belgium with Eupen where he scored 6 goals.
Penaranda has played for Venezuela in the U-20 level with 13 caps to his name and two goals and has 16 senior caps but his yet to find the back of the net
The striker is expected to resume pre-season training with the other player later in the month as they prepare for the new season in the Championship and hope to get promoted to the English top flight. We’ll have to wait and see the kind of punishment Watford issue to the striker.
