Soccer action in matchday one was thrilling but matchday two in Major League Soccer promises to be hotter and more scintillating.

There are fourteen action pumped, adrenaline pumped and drama pumped encounters across the big beautiful country called United States Of America.

Last weekend started on a great note for some sides, for others they tasted defeat on the opening day of the season and they would be looking to make amends in the second matchday.

There are still many matches available to play in the season but accruing of points starts from the first matchday and they would be looking to avoid complacency because every point won and lost in the season tells the direction of how the league is going to go.

Thiago Almada won Major League Soccer player of the matchday for matchday one.

Thiago Almada scored a brace on opening day of the league season as Atlanta United defeated San Jose Earthquakes on opening day of the league season.

That excellent performance from him earned him the award as Major League Soccer player of the matchday presented by Continental Tire.

He was instrumental in Atlanta United’s comfortable start to the season and he rightfully deserved to be the Major League Soccer player of matchday one.
