Due to the health concern, he missed the glorious outing of Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester City. Although, Antonio Conte still put a call through to Harry Kane after breaking Jimmy Greaves record.

He broke the record to become the all time goalscorer for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League scoring two hundred goals so far.

Tottenham Hotspur revealed the information on the club’s official Twitter account with the caption “Welcome back, Boss 💙”.

On Friday, a choice would be made on whether Antonio Conte would be in the dugout for the visit to Brendan Roger’s, Leicester City

Antonio Conte spent the past weekend recuperating in Turin, notwithstanding he still gave information to the fans through channels like his pre-match programme notes before the match against Manchester City.

Conte said: “I want to say thank you for the love, support and well wishes from everyone following the operation to remove my gallbladder earlier this week.

“The procedure went well, I am recovering and looking forward to being back with the team as soon as I’m able to do so.”

If due to circumstances, Antonio Conte is thought not to be fit enough to be at the Leicester game, his assistant Cristian Stellini will be the one in charge like he did for the game against Manchester City.

Following Antonio Conte going on a forced break and taking out time for the surgical operation, Cristian Stellini spoke about his boss and he said:

“We are upset. It was Antonio who called me and explained the situation. Last week he had a problem that we thought was flu, not a problem like this.

“When he discovered this, it was a surprise and he was so sad, but we have to keep going and work. We had time to speak to Antonio before the surgery about the way to prepare for the City game.

“Then we lost him for 12 hours, the time for him to have the surgery. The surgery was not difficult and it’s important he recovers well, this is the most important thing.”

In view of the game against Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur would miss the services of Captain, Hugo Lloris in goal after he picked up an injury.

The retired shot-stopper for the Les Bleus could be out for up to eight weeks due to a knee injury.

Possible replacement for the inflammable Lloris is the back-up goalie, Fraser Forster who is expected to be between the sticks in the absence of Hugo Lloris.
