Bayern Munich started dropping points after their fourth Bundesliga game against Borussia Mönchengladbach ended in a 1-1 draw on the 27th of August, 2022.

The German Giant strived to manage another 1-1 draw over FC Union Berlin, thanks to the 15th-minute equalizer from Kimmich after Becker gave the host the lead in the 12th minute inside the first half in their Bundesliga match on September 3, 2022.

Bayern Munich have drawn their third consecutive Bundesliga match after a 2-2 draw against Stuttgart on Saturday, September 10, 2022.

Bayern almost emerged victorious in Saturday’s game but the visitors’ last-minute penalty thwarted their euphoria as Guirassy made it 2-2 for Stuttgart after a penalty was awarded in stoppage time.

Mathys Tel opened the scoring for Bayern Munich in the 36th minute of the game. The 17-year-old Bayern rising star, Tel became Bayern’s youngest goalscorer after converting Alphonso Davies’ brilliant assist to give Bayern the lead.

Meanwhile, Bayern’s 1-0 lead didn’t last long before the visitors bounced back with an equalizer from Chris Fuhrich early in the second half.

Bayern midfielder, Jamal Musiala restored the advantage for Julian Nagelsmann’s side with an excellent strike from inside the box to make the scoresheet 2-1.

Afterward, the Guinea national star Serhou Guirassy, who had been denied two goals earlier in the match, earned himself a penalty after being fouled by Matthijs de Light. Guirassy sent Neuer to the wrong side and netted a well-deserved 2-2 equalizer in the stoppage time to share the points with Bayern.

Bayern Munich dominated possessions having created twice as many chances as Stuttgart, registering six shots on target, while Stuttgart had three shots, but the host failed to execute most of the chances opened to them as they should have scored more than two goals in line with their dominance throughout the 90 minutes.

Thomas Muller

In a post-match interview, Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller expressed his frustration over how his side flopped after they had started the season well.

Muller furiously said: “Today I’m angry for the first time this season. And on ourselves. If we want to win every game, and that’s our aspiration, then you have to go to the last.

“English week or not, highlight game during the week or not. With our current points situation, you have to go to the last ten minutes. That we let Stuttgart hit a ball into our penalty area again. Then it also has something to do with how much we are gallant and grippy. Today, for the first time, I have the feeling that we have given something away.”

The German national team star was very disappointed, especially at the lousy mistake committed at the stoppage time that robbed Bayern of three points.

Muller called for the right and rapid adjustments if Bayern want to head the league.

He continued: “I have to say If we want to get to the top of the table as quickly as possible, and that is our ambition, then we have to look at our noses. And all of us. We’re not top of the table yet.”

Bayern Munich will welcome FC Barcelona to the Allianz Arena as part of their UEFA Champions League scheduled on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

The German Champions must make every necessary adjustment and prepare well if they want to redeem their dignity and impress their fans before they clash with the Catalans in the UEFA Champions League tournament on Tuesday.
